Welcome to Etwall

Etwall is a small village in Derbyshire, midway between Derby and Burton upon Trent (view map). It is noted for its historic Almshouse, its Annual Well Dressing Festival and John Port School.  John Port is the largest Secondary school in Derbyshire and serves neighbouring villages as well as Etwall itself.

This web site aims to provide visitors, especially those coming to the annual well dressings, all the information they need to find us.

For residents or those aiming to move to the area this site should be able to provide you with some historical background to the area as well as local facilities and contacts for all the groups and activities relevant to the village of Etwall plus important links to the villages and services in our immediate area.
